CTI thanks all who visited us at Cards & Payments Australasia 2013
A big thank you to all those who visited our Stand at the Cards & Payments Australasia Expo in Melbourne, Australia. We had a wide range of visitors pass through ranging from the Banking & Transportation Sectors, to Government Departments all interested in improving the general quality and durability of their cards, to ensure they reach their expiry date.
At this years show we demonstrated the '3 Wheel Test' that we perform on Contact IC, Proximity IC and Dual Interface Chip Cards as part of the latest ISO/IEC 24789 Card Service Life durability evaluation regime. The '3 Wheel Test', essentially can be thought of as being like a very 'heavy handed' ATM. A weight is applied through a top roller sliding over the IC Chip Contacts, with two rollers supporting the underneath of the card. Once the required number of cycles has been applied to both sides of the card, the Answer To Reset (ATR) function test is carried out to see if the cards are still operational.
